Mitsubishi Electric unveils new technologies for sustainable rail transport at InnoTrans 2024

RATINGEN, September 12, 2024 – Mitsubishi Electric will be showcasing a wide range of cutting-edge rail technology at InnoTrans 2024 under the theme “Moving into Sustainable Society”. InnoTrans is the largest international trade fair for transport technologies, held every two years in Berlin, Germany. This year, transport technology experts will meet again from September 24 - 27 at Berlin ExpoCenter.

Through the concept "Transport System Solutions towards Sustainable Society," Mitsubishi Electric aims to address key social challenges, including CO2 neutrality, energy saving, circular economy, safety and security within the transport sector. The solutions presented are specifically designed to enhance the sustainability of trains throughout every stage of their lifecycle, from new-built to maintenance and refurbishment. By focusing on these key areas, Mitsubishi Electric is committed to driving the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient transport infrastructure.

At InnoTrans, Mitsubishi Electric will present a variety of technologies related to EMS(Energy Management Systems) to optimize the use of surplus energy in multiple settings. Among the featured innovations is the Innovative Energy Storage Module, a versatile solution suitable for battery trains, battery trams, electric buses, and energy storage stations with high power density, quick charge and long lifespan.
