MR-J5 servo amplifiers offer the best possible adaptation of the moment of inertia, especially for rotary indexing tables from third-party providers, thus enabling optimal performance.
You also benefit from seamless integration and high efficiency when using high-precision rotary indexing tables with direct drive and cost-optimized linear motor axes for long travel distances and shorter cycle times. Third-party motor connection is available using the EnDat 2.2 and BiSS-C encoder protocols.
Which network connections are supported for the servo amplifiers?

How precisely do Mitsubishi Electric servo amplifiers work?
We offer both a high-performance and a more cost-effective line.
The servo amplifiers of the MR-J5 series enable exceptionally precise control. A reliable absolute encoder ensures smooth motor operation, while the high-resolution 26-bit encoder guarantees extremely precise movements and exact positioning. The system also automatically suppresses mechanical vibration. The high inertia matching of the motor and load and the fast frequency response of 3.5 kHz contribute to the outstanding performance.
For applications with slightly lower requirements, we offer the more cost-effective servo system of the MR-JET series. Its encoder achieves a high resolution of over 16 million pulses per revolution, ensuring precise control at an attractive price-performance ratio.

Which Mitsubishi Electric servo amplifiers support EtherCAT as a command interface?
The MR-J5-G series includes all models labeled N1, which cover a motor power range from 100 watts to 25 kW. Multi-axis amplifiers are also available in this series. A complete list of all models can be found here.
The MR-JET series offers servo amplifiers with a rated motor output of 100 watts to 7 kW.
Are the MELSERVO amplifiers MR-J5 FsoE certified?
Yes, the MELSERVO MR-J5 is now available with Fail Safe over EtherCAT (FSoE) as standard – at no extra cost. This update enables seamless connectivity with EtherCAT-compatible devices, improving interoperability and flexibility between different manufacturers. With the integration of FSoE, the MR-J5 servo amplifiers can be connected to an approved EtherCAT master to efficiently control safety functions.
The FSoE technology meets the highest safety standards according to IEC 61508 and IEC 61784-3, making it a TÜV-certified solution for safety-related systems.
With the integration of FSoE, users benefit from easier planning, more cost-efficient commissioning and improved safety. The pre-certified product makes it easier to meet the safety requirements for machines, while also optimizing development, certification and validation processes, resulting in significant cost savings.
