Robots with ESD certification – specially for electronics manufacturing
The robots of the ESD series are specially designed to protect against uncontrolled electrostatic discharge. They are available as SCARA and six-axis robots.
The modification includes, among other things, the application of a special coating to the plastic parts of the robots. The work is carried out in Germany and requires an additional delivery time of approx. 2 weeks.

The ESD series of high-performance robots deliver the perfect speed, precision and reliability for the safe handling of electronic components in applications such as PCB assembly, visual inspection, product testing and packaging of electronic consumer goods.

The ESD Academy certifies that the MELFA FR series of industrial robots, RV articulated arm robots, meet the requirements for handling ESD-sensitive products (ESDS) and for use in ESD protected areas (EPAs) in accordance with the necessary IEC 61340-5-1 standard.
